About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Architect to lead design initiatives for their prestigious projects in the Southampton area. This is a crucial role requiring a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and strong project leadership. You will be responsible for guiding projects from conception through to completion, ensuring design integrity, client satisfaction, and adherence to budgetary and regulatory constraints. This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds, combining collaborative office-based work with the flexibility of remote access to project resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for complex architectural projects, from initial concept development to final construction documentation.
- Oversee and mentor junior architectural staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, local authorities, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant UK building regulations, planning policies, and health and safety standards.
- Develop and present innovative design solutions, utilizing advanced BIM software and visualization techniques.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently, reporting progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Architect with extensive experience in practice (ARB registered).
- Proven track record of successfully delivering a variety of architectural projects from inception to completion.
- Expert proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of construction technology, materials, and contractual procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing office and remote responsibilities.
