Senior Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Architect to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves leading architectural design projects from conception through to completion, ensuring technical excellence, creative integrity, and adherence to client briefs and regulatory standards. You will play a key part in shaping the built environment, contributing to a practice known for its innovative and sustainable designs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio, excellent client-facing skills, and a passion for architectural design and urban planning, working collaboratively within a supportive professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of architectural projects, from initial concept through to detailed construction documentation.
• Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and planning authorities to ensure project objectives are met.
• Produce high-quality architectural drawings, 3D models , and visualisations using industry-standard software.
• Oversee and mentor junior architectural staff, fostering a culture of design excellence and professional growth.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, planning policies, and sustainability standards.

Requirements

• Fully qualified architect with RIBA Part III or equivalent qualification and current registration.
• Minimum of 7 years' post-qualification experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit , AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects of varying scales and complexity.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and planning procedures.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
