Senior Architectural Assistant - Healthcare

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proficient Senior Architectural Assistant with a specialization in healthcare design to join their Bristol office. This role is critical in supporting the design and delivery of complex healthcare facilities, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of the unique requirements of this sector. You will work closely with architects and project managers, contributing to the development of innovative and functional spaces that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design development and detailed documentation of healthcare projects, ensuring adherence to specific sector requirements and standards.
• Produce high-quality architectural drawings, models, and technical specifications using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with specialist healthcare consultants, engineers, and contractors to integrate various building systems and services.
• Support the project team in navigating complex planning processes and building regulations relevant to healthcare facilities.
• Conduct site inspections and progress monitoring to ensure design intent is realised in construction.

Requirements

• A relevant degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology, with demonstrable experience in healthcare projects.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Assistant or Technician, with a focus on healthcare environments.
• Proficiency in Revit and a strong understanding of BIM principles.
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare design guidelines, HTM (Health Technical Memoranda), and HBN (Health Building Notes) is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
