About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join their busy practice in Portsmouth . This role is crucial for translating architectural designs into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings and specifications required for construction. You will work closely with architects and project managers, ensuring that all technical details meet regulatory standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have a meticulous eye for detail, a strong understanding of construction technology, and the ability to contribute effectively to a collaborative project delivery team, ensuring the smooth execution of designs in the Portsmouth area.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, construction details, and BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop specifications and schedules for building materials and components.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues during design and construction.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant UK building regulations, standards, and planning requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Significant experience as an Architectural Technician, with a proven portfolio of technical drawings and construction details.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.
• Strong knowledge of UK building codes, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
