About the Role
Our client seeks a highly proficient and experienced Senior Architectural Technologist for a fully remote position, supporting projects nationwide from their operational hub near Southampton . This role requires a deep understanding of construction technology, regulatory compliance, and the ability to produce technically superior documentation. You will be instrumental in ensuring the constructability and technical integrity of designs, working independently and collaborating digitally with design teams. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design development and detailing for a range of architectural projects, ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance.
- Produce comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and Building Information Models (BIM) to support planning, building control, and construction phases.
- Provide expert technical advice and solutions to architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough technical reviews, site investigations (where feasible remotely or via local contacts), and quality assurance checks.
- Manage the coordination of technical information from various consultants and stakeholders in a digital environment.
- Mentor and guide junior technologists, promoting best practices in technical detailing and BIM workflows.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as an Architectural Technologist , with a focus on technical detailing and construction documentation.
- Professional qualification (e.g., MCIAT) or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, coupled with strong experience in BIM project delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, NHBC standards, and construction best practices across various sectors.
- Excellent remote communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple technical streams and meet project deadlines effectively.
