Overview of the Role A Senior Architectural Technologist is required to lead technical design and project delivery from concept through construction. You will oversee complex architectural packages, ensuring buildability, compliance, quality and programme requirements are met. The role includes multidisciplinary coordination, resource management, mentoring and client engagement, with hybrid working and progression towards Associate level based on performance, leadership and technical capability.
Practice & Project Information This established practice delivers architectural services across detailed design, technical documentation and multidisciplinary project coordination. Senior team members balance architectural quality with compliance, cost and construction requirements while contributing to quality assurance, proposals, bids and business development. The role involves regular coordination with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers across active commissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical project delivery from concept through construction stage with minimal supervision
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and clients across multidisciplinary project teams
- Produce design presentations, detailed technical documentation and complex architectural packages
- Manage project resources, workloads, programmes and delivery requirements
- Mentor junior team members and support consistent technical standards
- Contribute to client engagement, submissions, bids and business development activity
Required Skills and Experience
- Degree or higher qualification in Architectural Technology or an industry-related equivalent
- 5+ years post-qualified experience with CIAT or equivalent professional registration
- Advanced technical design, documentation and detailing experience across complex architectural projects
- Expert knowledge of Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite
- Strong BIM, digital design and multidisciplinary information coordination capability
- Strong knowledge of current building and planning regulations, with proven client and stakeholder management skills
