Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure design intent is accurately translated into buildable solutions.
- Conduct site visits and surveys (where necessary, though remote support is primary) and resolve technical queries during the construction phase.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, relevant standards, and sustainability best practices.
- Manage project documentation and maintain meticulous records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior technologists and contribute to the continuous improvement of technical standards within the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing technical design excellence.
- Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural software.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent understanding of BIM processes and their application in architectural design.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within a distributed team.
- Relevant degree or HND in Architectural Technology or a related field.
