About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Architectural Technologist to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of high-profile projects, from initial concept design through to detailed construction drawings and site supervision. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical integrity and successful delivery of architectural projects, working collaboratively with architects, engineers, and construction professionals. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of building regulations, and a passion for innovative design solutions, who can help shape the built environment in Leicestershire and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and produce detailed architectural drawings, technical specifications , and construction documents using industry-standard software.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
- Review and interpret building regulations , planning policies, and technical standards to ensure project compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the architectural team.
- Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other relevant architectural design tools.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills .
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- A relevant HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
