About the Role

Our client, a distinguished architectural firm based in Newcastle upon Tyne , is looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to enhance their technical delivery capabilities. This role is vital for ensuring the successful technical development and execution of complex projects. You will be the technical lead, bridging design intent with practical construction solutions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and detailing for architectural projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure all technical documentation complies with UK building regulations, planning permissions, and health and safety standards.
• Manage and coordinate the work of external consultants and specialist contractors.
• Utilize advanced BIM software (Revit) to create and manage models and construction information.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections, resolving technical issues during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of construction technology, materials, and building systems.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential; experience with Navisworks is advantageous.
• Thorough understanding of UK building regulations and planning procedures.
• Proven ability to manage projects and mentor junior members of the technical team.
