Senior Architectural Technologist

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their established practice based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This pivotal role involves leading the technical design aspects of significant projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance from inception to completion. You will be instrumental in developing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and ensuring that designs are constructible and meet all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of detailed technical drawings, BIM models, and specifications for various architectural projects.
• Ensure all technical designs comply with current building regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies throughout the construction phase.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior members of the architectural team.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address technical queries during construction.
• Manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent qualification.
• Significant experience as an Architectural Technologist , with a strong track record in technical design.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with excellent BIM coordination skills.
• In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
