Senior Architectural Technologist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of detailed technical drawings, models, and specifications for complex architectural projects using BIM software .
• Ensure all designs comply with building regulations, planning policies, and relevant industry standards across the UK .
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors remotely to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct technical reviews and site inspections (where feasible/required, though the role is primarily remote) to verify progress and adherence to design intent.
• Mentor junior technologists and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project documentation and information flow effectively within a remote team structure.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role.
• Proficiency in Revit and other BIM software is essential; experience with Navisworks and AutoCAD is also highly valued.
• Demonstrable experience in technical design, detailing, and construction documentation for a variety of project types.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting .
• HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
