About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and diligent Senior Auditor to join their remote-first assurance team. This role is integral to providing independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of the organization's governance, risk management, and internal control processes. You will lead audit engagements, plan and execute audit programs, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive auditor who thrives in a flexible working environment and is adept at assessing complex financial and operational risks, working remotely across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and document internal audits in accordance with professional standards.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate audit plans and procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Communicate audit results effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the audit team on engagements.
Requirements
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent.
- Significant experience in internal or external audit, with a strong understanding of audit methodologies.
- Expertise in risk assessment, internal controls, and financial/operational auditing.
- Proven ability to manage audit engagements and deliver high-quality reports.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting findings.
