About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to join their reputable audit team in Plymouth . This challenging role will involve planning and executing financial audits for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. You will lead audit engagements, manage junior staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality audit services that comply with professional standards. This is a key position for a skilled auditor looking to advance their career and make a significant contribution within the Devon region.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, perform, and finalize audit engagements in accordance with ISA standards.
• Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and feedback.
• Assess client internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports, including findings and recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with clients to discuss audit findings and propose solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Significant experience in a financial audit role, preferably within an accountancy practice.
• In-depth knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and UK GAAP.
• Strong leadership, project management, and analytical skills.
• Excellent report writing and client-facing communication abilities.
