About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join their assurance team based in Nottingham . This role is vital in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, evaluating financial reporting accuracy, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will lead audit engagements, manage junior team members, and build strong relationships with clients across various industries. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize audits for a portfolio of clients across various sectors.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Perform financial statement audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and feedback.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
• Stay current with auditing standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in external audit.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles, financial statements, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
