Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Automation Electrical Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of automation strategies and solutions for new and existing manufacturing processes.
- Design, program, and troubleshoot advanced PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems using industry-leading platforms.
- Oversee electrical aspects of robotic system integration, including safety circuits and communication protocols.
- Manage electrical engineering projects related to automation upgrades, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, control panel designs, and comprehensive documentation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior automation engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508) and company policies.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience (7+ years) in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
- Expertise in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000) and HMI/SCADA development.
- Proven experience with industrial robotics, motion control, and vision systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles, panel layout, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
