Senior Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC and HMI software for industrial automation systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Specify, select, and integrate automation hardware, including sensors, actuators, and robotics.
• Lead the implementation and commissioning of automated systems, providing on-site support as needed.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional design specifications and programming standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation system issues, minimising downtime and ensuring continuous operation.
• Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation engineering, with a strong focus on PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Proficiency in HMI/SCADA software development and system integration.
• Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
• Experience with robot programming and integration is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
