About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and experienced Senior Automotive Design Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative vehicle concepts in Belfast . This role is crucial in translating aesthetic visions and functional requirements into tangible designs using advanced modelling techniques. You will play a key part in shaping the look and feel of future vehicles, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and manufacturability. Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative automotive exterior and interior designs using 3D modelling software (e.g., Alias, Blender).
- Create detailed design sketches, renderings, and 3D models that communicate design intent effectively.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet functional, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present design proposals to management and stakeholders, incorporating feedback for refinement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor designs.
- Contribute to the development of design language and brand identity for future vehicle platforms.
Requirements
- Degree in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in automotive design.
- Exceptional proficiency in automotive design software , including Alias Surface and VRED.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of automotive design concepts and execution.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle architecture, ergonomics, and manufacturing processes.
- Creative vision, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
