Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join their state-of-the-art workshop in Leicester . This is a crucial role where you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues in a wide range of vehicles. You will work with a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing top-tier automotive service and customer satisfaction, using the latest diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to solve challenging problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on vehicle engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components using specialized equipment.
• Interpret diagnostic data, technical manuals, and schematics to identify root causes of malfunctions.
• Execute complex repairs and component replacements, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Advise workshop managers and service advisors on repair findings and necessary maintenance procedures.
• Mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service records for all diagnostic and repair work performed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician or similar senior role.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proficiency with dealership-level diagnostic software and hardware.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, CAN bus networks, and engine management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a meticulous approach to fault finding.
• Valid UK driving license.
