About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Lighting Systems Engineer to join their advanced engineering department in Oxford . This role is critical for the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge lighting systems for their vehicle portfolio. You will lead projects focused on enhancing vehicle aesthetics, safety, and functionality through innovative lighting solutions, including adaptive headlights, DRLs, and interior ambient lighting. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of automotive exterior and interior lighting systems.
• Specify requirements for lighting components, including LEDs, optics, and control modules.
• Develop and validate lighting system performance against regulatory and aesthetic standards.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate lighting control systems.
• Conduct photometric testing and analysis to ensure optimal light distribution and performance.
• Manage supplier relationships for lighting components and systems.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in automotive lighting system design and development.
• In-depth knowledge of LED technology, optical design principles, and automotive electrical systems.
• Experience with automotive communication protocols relevant to lighting control.
• Proficiency in lighting simulation software and photometric measurement tools.
