About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Automotive Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic R&D team based in Leeds . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of automotive components and systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Perform complex engineering analyses, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis using FEA tools.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, testing, and validation teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Generate detailed technical specifications, drawings, and reports for engineering projects in Leeds .
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical direction of the automotive engineering department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive mechanical design and development.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
• In-depth knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and automotive system integration.
• Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle technologies is highly advantageous for this automotive role.
