About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Senior Automotive Parts Advisor to manage their parts department in Leeds . In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory, assisting technicians and customers with parts identification and procurement, and ensuring the efficient operation of the parts desk. You will leverage your expertise in automotive components to provide exceptional service and support, contributing to the overall success of the dealership or service center. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of automotive parts, ensuring stock availability for workshop and customer needs.
• Assist dealership technicians and retail customers in identifying and sourcing correct parts using electronic catalogs and databases.
• Process parts orders, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service, offering expert advice on parts compatibility, pricing, and availability.
• Monitor inventory turnover and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automotive Parts Advisor or in a similar inventory management role within the automotive industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and terminology for various makes and models.
• Proficiency with parts management software and electronic catalog systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing inventory and processing orders.
