Senior Automotive Quality Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Automotive Quality Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Glasgow . You will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all automotive products and processes. This role requires a deep understanding of quality management systems, problem-solving methodologies, and a commitment to continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment. You will lead quality initiatives, conduct audits, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction, ensuring that all vehicles leaving the site meet stringent quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for automotive manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform internal audits of production lines and supplier quality systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure product conformity to specifications.
• Monitor key quality metrics and provide regular reports to management.
• Champion a culture of quality throughout the organization, promoting best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in a quality engineering role within the automotive industry.
• Proficiency with quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, APQP, and PPAP.
• Experience with ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
