About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to join their innovative, fully remote engineering team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for defining, integrating, and validating complex automotive systems, ensuring seamless interaction between hardware, software, and mechanical components. Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage system-level requirements for automotive components and architectures.
• Develop system integration plans and oversee the integration of various subsystems (e.g., powertrain, chassis, electrical).
• Create system models and simulations to predict and analyze system behavior and performance.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex system-level issues, identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure alignment on system design and implementation strategies.
• Contribute to the development of system validation and verification strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience in automotive systems engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong understanding of automotive system architectures, including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and related protocols.
• Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills suitable for a remote leadership role.
