About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Automotive Technician to join their reputable workshop in Leicester . You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards. This role is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the excellent reputation of the service centre, working within a supportive team environment that values precision and efficiency. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of makes and models, utilising state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and tools to solve complex automotive challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicle engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other components using advanced tools and equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Repair and replace faulty parts, ensuring all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Interpret diagnostic trouble codes and technical service bulletins to identify and resolve vehicle issues effectively.
• Provide clear and concise explanations of vehicle problems and proposed solutions to service advisors and, when necessary, customers.
• Mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster team development.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician , with a strong track record in diagnostics and repair.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with modern vehicle diagnostic software and equipment.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in a variety of vehicle types.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• A valid UK driving license.
