Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Test Engineer to join their innovative team in Derby . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed test plans and procedures for automotive systems and components, including functional, performance, durability, and environmental testing.
• Design and build test fixtures and setups for both bench and vehicle-level testing.
• Conduct tests using various equipment and tools, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
• Analyze test data, identify defects or performance deviations, and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with design and development engineers to resolve issues identified during testing.
• Stay current with industry best practices, new testing technologies, and automotive standards.
• Mentor junior test engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive testing and validation.
• Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive test plans for automotive components or systems (e.g., powertrain, chassis, electronics).
• Proficiency with test automation tools, data acquisition systems, and laboratory equipment.
• Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing on-site lab work with remote data analysis and reporting.
