About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Aviation Economic Analyst to join their strategic planning team in Bristol . This hybrid role combines the flexibility of remote work with essential on-site engagement for collaborative strategy sessions and data analysis. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth economic research, forecasting market trends, and providing critical insights into the financial performance and strategic positioning of the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong quantitative background, a thorough understanding of economic principles as applied to transportation, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business intelligence for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct economic analysis of the aviation market, including demand forecasting, competitive landscape analysis, and revenue projections.
- Develop financial models and scenarios to assess the economic impact of regulatory changes, market shifts, and new business initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze key economic indicators relevant to the aviation industry, such as fuel prices, passenger traffic, and global economic growth.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., finance, strategy, operations) to provide economic context and support business planning.
- Stay informed about global aviation industry trends, policy developments, and emerging economic challenges.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in economic analysis, preferably within the aviation or transportation sector.
- Strong quantitative and modeling skills, with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Stata) and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to communicate complex economic concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Experience working effectively in a hybrid remote and on-site environment.
