Senior Aviation Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Aviation Project Manager to lead complex projects within their expanding aviation division based in Leeds . This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of strategic aviation initiatives, from conception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the aviation sector's unique challenges and opportunities. You will manage project teams, stakeholder expectations, and critical project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and closure of multiple aviation projects simultaneously.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against these milestones.
• Manage project teams, providing leadership, direction, and motivation.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Communicate project status, updates, and critical information to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion within the aviation industry .
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale aviation projects (e.g., infrastructure, fleet development, technology integration).
• Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with on-site team collaboration.
