Senior Avionics Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Engineer to join their innovative team in Milton Keynes . This role is critical for the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced avionics systems for a range of aircraft platforms. You will contribute to projects that push the boundaries of aviation technology, working on systems that are vital for flight control, navigation, communication, and mission management. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex avionics systems , including flight control, navigation, and communication subsystems.
• Oversee the integration of avionics hardware and software, ensuring seamless operation and performance.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of avionics systems, adhering to strict aerospace standards and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to avionics systems during development and post-installation phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including airframe engineers, software developers, and certification authorities.
• Contribute to the definition of system requirements, architecture, and verification and validation plans for new avionics technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in avionics engineering , with a focus on system design and integration.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards such as DO-160, DO-178C, and ARINC protocols.
• Proficiency in using simulation tools and test equipment relevant to avionics systems.
• Experience with embedded software development and hardware-software integration.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for a hybrid working model.
