Senior Avionics Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to join their fully remote, innovative aviation technology division. This role is integral to the advancement of cutting-edge avionics solutions, encompassing navigation, communication, flight management, and monitoring systems. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to contribute to the entire lifecycle of avionics products, from conceptualization and design through to integration and testing. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate complex avionics systems for next-generation aircraft.
• Conduct thorough analysis and validation of avionics hardware and software performance using simulation and test data.
• Ensure compliance with stringent aviation industry standards and regulatory requirements .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and flight test personnel.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to avionics system functionality and interoperability.
• Contribute to system architecture definitions and technology roadmaps for future avionics development.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in avionics systems engineering .
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas: navigation systems, communication systems, flight control systems, or cockpit displays.
• Proficiency with avionics standards such as ARINC, DO-178C, and DO-254.
• Experience with simulation tools and embedded systems development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at working in a virtual team environment.
