About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Wolverhampton . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of integrated avionics systems, including flight management systems, communication, and navigation equipment.
• Define system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for new avionics installations and upgrades.
• Oversee system integration, validation, and verification activities, ensuring compliance with aviation standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to avionics hardware and software.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in avionics systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of avionic communication standards (e.g., ARINC 429, AFDX) and flight control systems.
• Experience with avionics integration, testing, and certification (e.g., DO-160, DO-178B/C).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
