Senior Backend Developer - APIs

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for API access.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for scalability and reliability.
• Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to best practices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to define API requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development , with a significant focus on API design and implementation.
• Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Node.js , Python, Java, or C#.
• In-depth knowledge of RESTful API principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
