Senior Backend Developer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Backend Developer for a fully remote position. You will be a key member of their engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend systems that support their core product offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of software architecture, database management, and API development, coupled with the ability to thrive in a distributed work environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable backend services and APIs.
• Design and manage database schemas and optimize data access for high performance.
• Implement security and data protection measures within the backend systems.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in a remote setting.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the backend infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker) is highly desirable.
