About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Backend Developer for a fully remote position. You will be a key member of their engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend systems that support their core product offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of software architecture, database management, and API development, coupled with the ability to thrive in a distributed work environment. You will have the opportunity to influence technical direction and contribute to impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable backend services and APIs.
- Design and manage database schemas and optimize data access for high performance.
- Implement security and data protection measures within the backend systems.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in a remote setting.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the backend infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
- Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker) is highly desirable.
