About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer to join their established and fully remote engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs that power innovative applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code using modern languages and frameworks.
- Develop and manage robust APIs (RESTful, GraphQL) that serve our client's diverse applications.
- Optimize backend services for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
- Work with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) to design efficient data models and queries.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing backend systems, ensuring stability and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong expertise in at least one major backend language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
- Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases and their associated query languages.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a remote, asynchronous communication environment.
