About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioanalytical Scientist to join their dynamic analytical services team in Portsmouth . This role is crucial for developing and validating sensitive bioanalytical methods to support pharmaceutical R&D, focusing on the quantification of small molecules and large molecules in biological matrices. You will play a key role in preclinical and clinical studies, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data that underpins critical decisions in drug development. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced scientist to contribute to significant projects within a well-established research organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate robust bioanalytical methods using LC-MS/MS, immunoassays, or other relevant techniques.
- Perform sample analysis for preclinical and clinical studies according to regulatory guidelines (e.g., GLP).
- Troubleshoot method development and assay performance issues, implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare comprehensive method validation reports, study protocols, and final analytical reports.
- Mentor and train junior scientists in bioanalytical techniques and laboratory best practices.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bioanalytical method development and validation in a GxP environment.
- Expertise in LC-MS/MS is highly desirable; experience with ELISA, MSD, or other immunoassays is also valuable.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for bioanalysis in drug development.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
