Senior Bioanalytical Scientist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Bioanalytical Scientist to join their dynamic research team in Leeds . This role is essential for developing and validating robust bioanalytical methods to support preclinical and clinical studies. You will be responsible for analyzing biological matrices using techniques such as LC-MS/MS to quantify small molecules and biologics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing drug development programs by providing accurate and reliable quantitative data, ensuring high standards of scientific integrity and operational excellence within their state-of-the-art laboratories located in West Yorkshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement sensitive and specific bioanalytical methods (e.g., LC-MS/MS) for the quantification of small molecules and large molecules in biological matrices.
• Perform routine sample analysis for preclinical and clinical studies according to GLP/GCP guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and optimize analytical methods and instrumentation to ensure data quality and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive laboratory records, including study protocols, data reports, and instrument calibration logs.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in bioanalytical techniques and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality bioanalytical data.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in bioanalytical method development and validation in a pharmaceutical or CRO setting.
• Extensive experience with LC-MS/MS instrumentation and associated data acquisition and processing software.
• Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA) for bioanalytical method validation.
• Proficiency in sample preparation techniques for various biological matrices (plasma, serum, urine, tissue).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
