Senior Bioinformatician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatician to join their dynamic research team based in Belfast . Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.
• Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of large biological datasets, including genomics and transcriptomics.
• Collaborate with experimental researchers to design studies and analyze results.
• Contribute to the development of data visualization tools and reports.
• Ensure data integrity, quality control, and proper documentation of all analyses.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in analyzing NGS data (e.g., WGS, WES, RNA-Seq).
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or R.
• Familiarity with command-line interfaces and high-performance computing environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration in Belfast .
