About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Biologist with expertise in Immuno-Oncology to join their dynamic research and development team in Belfast . In this role, you will design and conduct complex experiments to investigate the immune system's role in cancer and to identify novel immunotherapeutic targets. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing critical biological insights to advance preclinical programs aimed at developing next-generation cancer treatments. Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and interpret in vitro and in vivo experiments focused on immuno-oncology targets and pathways.
- Develop and validate novel assays for measuring immune cell function and tumor microenvironment interactions.
- Manage multiple research projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and data integrity.
- Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, computational biologists, and translational scientists.
- Present research findings at internal meetings and contribute to scientific publications and patent applications.
Requirements
- PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-doctoral or industry experience in immuno-oncology research.
- Hands-on experience with techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, western blotting, and cell-based assays.
- Strong understanding of tumor immunology, immune checkpoints, and cellular therapies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research setting.
