Senior Blockchain Engineer - DeFi Protocols

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Blockchain Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining sophisticated Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocols. This position requires a deep understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contract development, and the intricacies of the DeFi ecosystem. You will be responsible for building secure, efficient, and scalable financial applications that operate on the blockchain, contributing to the future of decentralized finance from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced DeFi protocols and smart contracts.
• Optimize existing smart contracts for gas efficiency, security, and performance.
• Integrate with various blockchain networks and third-party DeFi services.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for all smart contract code.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and security audits to ensure protocol integrity.
• Collaborate with product teams to define and implement new DeFi features and functionalities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on blockchain development and DeFi .
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience developing complex smart contracts for decentralized exchanges, lending platforms, or yield farming protocols.
• Solid understanding of blockchain principles, tokenomics, and DeFi economics.
• Experience with smart contract security best practices and vulnerability mitigation.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies for interacting with smart contracts is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
