Senior Buyer - Indirect Spend

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Buyer to join their procurement department in Glasgow, Scotland . This role focuses on the strategic sourcing and management of indirect spend categories, ensuring the company receives optimal value for its investments in services and supplies. You will lead complex sourcing projects, negotiate key contracts, and manage relationships with critical suppliers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for various indirect spend categories, including IT, facilities, and professional services.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends.
• Negotiate complex contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to achieve cost savings and mitigate risk.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance meets expectations and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored procurement solutions.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and budgetary constraints.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on indirect spend .
• Demonstrated success in leading sourcing projects and negotiating complex contracts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
• Understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
