About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of key suppliers, ensuring performance and reliability.

• Conduct market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and potential cost reductions.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed SLAs and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Process purchase requisitions and ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational demands.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including operations and finance, to align purchasing activities with business needs.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer, with a strong understanding of procurement principles.
• Demonstrated success in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment in Glasgow .
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in purchasing processes.
