Senior Catering Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Catering Supervisor to oversee daily operations and team performance at their busy catering service in Southampton . You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, service, and client satisfaction for a variety of events and functions. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a hands-on approach to managing staff, inventory, and operational procedures within a demanding environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the catering team, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and served according to company standards and client specifications.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain accurate stock records for the Southampton location.
• Uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout all catering operations.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues that arise during service promptly and professionally.
• Train new staff members on catering procedures, service etiquette, and health and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Catering Supervisor , Team Leader, or similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of food preparation, service standards, and event logistics.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
