Senior Chemical Engineer - Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimise daily plant operations, ensuring processes run within design parameters and meet production demands.
• Lead root cause analysis for operational failures, implementing preventative measures and corrective actions.
• Develop and manage process optimisation projects aimed at improving yield, reducing waste, and lowering operating costs.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations and company policies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to plant operators and junior engineers, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Participate in capital project execution, including equipment design review and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in chemical plant operations and process engineering.
• Strong knowledge of process safety management (PSM), HAZOP studies, and risk assessment.
• Demonstrated experience in process optimisation, troubleshooting, and debottlenecking.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Familiarity with process control systems and data analysis tools.
