Senior Chemical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new chemical processes and technologies.
• Optimize existing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance safety standards across London facilities.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and process hazard analyses (PHAs).
• Manage process-related projects from conception through to commissioning and operational handover.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Ensure all processes comply with relevant industry regulations and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical engineering , preferably within process design or optimization.
• Proven track record in managing complex engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong understanding of process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and thermodynamics .
• Proficiency in safety protocols, hazard analysis techniques (HAZOP, LOPA), and relevant UK legislation.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
