Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes and equipment, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Conduct detailed process simulations, hazard analyses, and risk assessments for new and existing operations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions to enhance performance.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and regulatory changes, integrating best practices into plant operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a chemical engineering role, with a proven track record in process design and optimization.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics , and mass transfer principles.
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD) and HAZOP studies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with UK safety regulations and environmental standards.
