Senior Chemical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of new chemical processes and the optimisation of existing ones, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and pilot plant trials to evaluate and validate process designs.
• Manage projects from conception through to implementation, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to minimise downtime and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and maintenance, to ensure seamless process integration and operational success.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in chemical process design, development, and optimisation.
• Proven experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mass transfer principles.
• Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
