Senior Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leicester . Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes to enhance yield, purity, and efficiency.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot plant trials for new process designs and modifications.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, operational manuals, and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, and maintenance teams to implement process improvements and new technologies.
• Ensure all processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting within the chemical industry.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics , fluid mechanics, and mass transfer principles.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
• Experience with HAZOP studies and other process safety management techniques.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
