About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer with a focus on Land Development to join their team in Cambridge . This role is essential for the planning, design, and execution of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects. You will be responsible for site infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and utility coordination, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to high standards. The hybrid working arrangement provides flexibility, allowing for effective collaboration with colleagues, clients, and planning authorities, and contributes to the growth and development of new communities in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the civil engineering design for land development projects, including site layout, grading, and infrastructure.
- Design and specify roads, pavements, drainage systems (including SuDS), and utility connections.
- Prepare engineering drawings, reports, and permit applications for submission to local authorities.
- Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and other consultants to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, overseeing site works and contractor performance.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential development opportunities.
Requirements
- BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Civil Engineer specializing in land development and site infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant drainage design software.
- Strong understanding of UK planning processes and building regulations.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Experience in preparing technical reports and managing client relationships.
