About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly accomplished Senior Civil Engineer with a strong focus on structural design to join their remote-first engineering team, based out of Bristol . This senior position demands extensive experience in the design of complex structures for diverse projects, including commercial buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities. You will take a lead role in technical design, client liaison, and project delivery, working collaboratively with a dispersed team of professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for a variety of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Perform complex structural analysis and design calculations using advanced engineering software.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with industry best practices and codes.
• Manage project teams and technical resources effectively in a remote working setting.
• Engage directly with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure design approvals and project satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional qualification.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in structural engineering design, with significant exposure to large-scale projects.
• Expertise in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS) and advanced CAD/BIM tools .
• In-depth knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant design regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, particularly within a virtual team context.
