Senior Civil Engineer - Transportation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer with a specialization in transportation infrastructure to join their team in Leeds . This role focuses on the planning, design, and delivery of complex road, rail, and public transport projects that enhance connectivity and mobility across the UK . You will be responsible for leading design teams, undertaking technical analysis, and ensuring the successful implementation of transportation solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, junctions, and public realm schemes.
• Conduct traffic modeling and analysis to inform design decisions and assess network impacts.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and other consultants to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure designs adhere to relevant national standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a proven track record in project delivery.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards it.
• Proficiency in transportation design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MXrenewals, and traffic simulation software.
• Strong understanding of highway design standards (e.g., DMRB) and traffic management principles.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
