Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Civil Engineer with a specialization in Utilities to join their expanding team, operating on a fully remote basis. This critical role involves leading the design, planning, and project management of essential utility infrastructure projects, including water, wastewater, gas, and power networks. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex utility infrastructure projects, including networks, treatment facilities, and pumping stations.
- Undertake feasibility studies, options appraisals, and detailed design for water, wastewater, gas, and power systems.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and contract documents.
- Liaise effectively with clients, regulatory authorities, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and best practices within the remote team .
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with significant experience in utilities.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the design and management of utility infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in relevant design software and modelling tools for water, wastewater, gas, or power networks.
- Strong understanding of UK utility regulations, standards, and environmental considerations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholders in a remote setting .
